» Please find below the service times for the Triduum at Douai. Please note that the principal public liturgies will be held in St Mary's not in the abbey church which is still under repair.

Maundy Thursday  -  Mass at 8pm followed by watching till 10pm
Good Friday  -  Liturgy of the Lord's Passion at 3pm; Stations of the Cross at 6pm (abbey church)
Holy Saturday  -  Easter Vigil at 9pm
Easter Sunday  -  Mass at 11am

» The abbey church remains out of action except for the community's smaller daily liturgies. Repairs have begun on the fabric of the clerestory prior to the repairs and replacement of the glass.

» Last Thursday Fr Abbot was at Stanbrook Abbey to help the nuns prepare for their upcoming election for an abbess. Abbess Andrea has reached the end of her 12-year term (significantly longer than the 8-year terms of abbots).

» The day before Bishop Philip Egan and 30 clergy of our local diocese of Portsmouth were at Douai to pass a Lenten Day of Recollection prior to the rigours of Holy Week.

» Frs Peter and Benjamin last Friday attended the funeral of the mother of Graham Giles, a long-serving and devoted member of our kitchen staff. May she rest in peace.
