Douai Abbey: The Monastery of St Edmund, King & Martyr
Published by HSK in News · 6 January 2020
» It has been a quiet start to the new decade. In the past week a number of the community have been to visit Fr Bernard at Alton Community Hospital where he is undergoing rehabilitation to improve his walking. Fr Louis, now in a nursing home in Newbury, is continuing to come to Douai for lunch every Sunday.

» Recently the abbot visited David Farmer, emeritus Reader in history at the University of Reading, and a long-time parishioner at our Pangbourne church and friend of the community. Though largely confined by infirmity to his home he welcomes visitors.
