Douai Abbey: The Monastery of St Edmund, King & Martyr
Published by HSK in News · 31 July 2020
» On Monday, 27 July Sheila Huelin, a Pangbourne parishioner and a nurse at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading, gave a presentation to the community on the current spread of the Covid virus and the precautions which the community ought to be taking.

» On the evening of the same day, Br Aidan Messenger made his second perseverance as a novice. Please keep him your prayers.

» Fr Benjamin officiated on Thursday, 30 July at the burial in Beenham of Marie Pierro. She and her husband, Donato, were on the staff at Douai for many years and are well-known in the parish. May she rest in peace.

» The webmaster is taking a two week break so there will be no updates to the website until after mid-August. If you are unsure about any developments at the monastery in that period please contact the community via phone or email as listed on our Contact page.
