New Parish Priest Announced

Douai Abbey: The Monastery of St Edmund, King & Martyr
18 April 2021
» Lockdown has continued to keep the monastery's calendar fairly free. In the past week the community has resumed its ongoing work of revising the celebration of the divine office. The abbot's council also met on Thursday, with a mix of real and Zoomed presence among the councillors.

» Standing out this past week is the news that it was announced to the parish of Woolhampton - in its three churches at Theale, Pangbourne and Woolhampton itself - that Fr Peter is to retire as its parish priest this summer, and that Fr Gabriel has been appointed by Fr Abbot as parish priest of Woolhampton in his place from July. Please pray for Fr Gabriel as he takes on this new role, and for Fr Peter as adapts to a less frenetic life. Ad multos annos!
