Quiet

The advent of lockdown 2.0 has seen the monastery expectedly quiet, disturned only by the occasional Guy Fawkes firecracker. The first frosts have arrived. Fr Abbot and Abbot Edmud have concluded the Ampleforth visitation. We heard with sadness of the passing of Caroline Mayr-Harting, wife of Old Dowegian Professor Henry Mayr-Harting. May she rest in peace.
