Douai Abbey: The Monastery of St Edmund, King & Martyr
15 August 2021
»  On 9 August the resident community held its final meeting for revising the rubrics for daily conventual Mass.

» The next day Fr Abbot drove to Fishguard in west Wales to visit Fr Richard, who showed him the town and harbour.

» Fr Alban, with Br Aidan, visited Cambridge as part of his ongoing preparations to take up the post of university chaplain. The same day the Abbey Trust and Abbot's Council met, with Frs Paul and Hugh attending by Zoom.

» The 13th was a busy day, as the community welcomed and accommodated 4 young Dominican friars on pilgrimage from Cambridge to Oxford to commemorate the arrival of the first Dominican friars in England 800 years ago. You can follow their progress at the Dominican Jubilee page.
